Description

Plealey Country Cottages are three spacious converted barns, sleeping 6,7,8 + cot. Dating from the 1600's they retain many original features whilst furnished to a very high standard.

Dating back to 1600, these tastefully converted barns retain many original features whilst offering all modern comforts in their smartly furnished interiors.

Country walks can be enjoyed from the doorstep and fly and course fishing is available on owner's land.

The cottages are set on a courtyard with each having its own terrace and lawned garden.  They are located in the pretty and peaceful hamlet of Plealey which is in a conservation area, just 6 miles from the medieval town of Shrewsbury.  The village of Pontesbury is just 1.5 miles away with a variety of shops, pubs, restaurants and takeaways.  Just 6 miles is Caer Caradoc and the Devil's Chair on the Stiperstones possess a wild beauty and the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty of the Long Mynd offers a wonderful day out.

Arscott Golf Club is just 1.5 miles away, its clubhouse is open 7 days, a week for food and drinks.  There is also a fully stocked golf shop.  Springlea fishing pools is also located half a mile away with 5 course fishing pools.

From the A5 take the A488 signposted Bishop's Castle. Follow the road through the village of Hanwood past the Lea Cross Tavern then take the first left turn signposted Plealey. At the crossroads in village turn left, then the cottages are about 300 yards on the left.
