Self-catering holidays in beautiful South Shropshire - the perfect getaway destination. Stunning views, wonderful walking, peace and comfort, in easy reach of Ludlow, Shrewsbury. the Ironbridge Gorge and the Stretton Hills. There are two holiday homes at Lower Farm - Lower Farm Cottage (sleeps 2) and The Studio (sleeps 2).

Lower Farm Cottage - Visit Britain 4 Star
Once a cow byre, is now a cosy and stylish holiday hideaway for two to four people.  The cottage is situated at a short distance from the owners� house, where the stone walls of the old farmyard create shelter and privacy without hiding the far-reaching view down the valley. The accommodation comprises: large open-plan living room with wood-burning stove, picture window and television; kitchen/dining area with fridge, oven, hob, microwave and dishwasher; one double bedroom; shower room with hand basin and WC. There is a double sofa-bed in the living room.
  
Rent includes bed-linen, towels and electricity. There is a separate laundry room in an adjacent building with washing machine, tumble-dryer, indoor drying space and a freezer which visitors can share. There is ample space for parking, and a sheltered courtyard area with garden table and chairs. Because the cottage is all on one level, with a ramp to the door, it is suitable for some visitors with disabilities and/or restricted mobility � we would be happy to discuss the possibilities with you.

The Studio - Visit Britain 4 Star
This stunning studio flat is reached by a fairly steep staircase to a space which once housed farm workers, and which has perhaps the best view on the whole property. The Studio comprises a modern kitchen with fridge, oven, hob, microwave and dishwasher; a shower room with shower, hand basin and WC; and a large airy bed-sitting room with double bed, windows on two sides giving lovely views, lounge area with log-effect fire, television and DVD player. Rent includes bed-linen, towels and electricity. There is a separate laundry room downstairs  with washing machine, tumble-dryer, indoor drying space and a freezer which visitors can share.

There is ample space for parking and a private patio area giving fine views down the valley. Because of the stairs, the step between the kitchen and living area, and the sloping path to the patio, the Studio is not as suitable as Lower Farm  Cottage for visitors with restricted mobility.

Directions

The village of Shelve lies about 12 miles south-west of Shrewsbury, just off the A488. Lower Farm is the last house in the village on the right, sitting slightly below the level of the road. Lower Farm Cottage has the same entrance.
