Situated in beautiful open countryside on the Powys/Shropshire border, the Old Hand & Diamond makes an excellent central base to visit Shropshire & mid-Wales.

Situated in beautiful open countryside on the Powys/Shropshire border, the Old Hand & Diamond makes an excellent central base to visit Shropshire & mid-Wales.

The inn has a large car park, children's play area and sunny patio with plenty of seating for the summer months. During the winter a large open fire burns daily in the bar lounge, giving the interior of this 17th century inn a warm and inviting feeling.

There is a bar and restaurant menu available daily for lunch and evenings, with a specials board offering something a little different. In the summer months a salad & baguette bar is also offered. The Sunday carvery is excellent value and bookings are advised.

The seven ensuite bedrooms are decorated in a country style all with central heating and double glazing. All rooms have colour television, tea & coffee making facilities and radios. There are a selction of double and family sized rooms which can hold up to 6 persons. Travel cots available on request.

Directions

Take the A458 Shrewsbury to Welshpool road, off the A5 Shrewsbury ring road. Follow the A458 for approximately 4 miles then turn right onto B4393 signposted Four Crosses and Lake Vyrnwy. The Old Hand and Diamond is approx 5 miles down this road on the left.
