All town centre street parking is pay and display only. Tickets are available from the machines in the vacinity.
Shrewsbury's Railway Station is located in the town centre, by the Castle, the shops and the historic buildings. There is an hourly train service from London Euston via Birmingham or Wolverhampton (less on Sundays) and good connections to other towns. Journey time from London is approximately three hours.

Shrewsbury operates an excellent Park and Ride service, which is a cheap and convenient way of getting into the town centre. There are three Park and Ride sites - all signed from main approach roads. Buses run every 10 minutes from 7.30am (8am on Saturdays) to 6.30pm daily except Sundays. There are stops and pick-up points throughout the town centre. Colour coded tickets make it easier to find the right bus.
Shrewsbury has designated on-street parking spaces for disabled badge holders. These spaces cab be found on Shoplatch, Castle Street, St. Mary's Street, Claremont Street and Roushill. Parking is free if displaying the badge and clock for the period as indicated on the signs.

Shrewsbury TIC takes 10% deposit of the first nights stay on serviced accommodation only. This is re-funded by the accommodation provider by deducting the amount from the bill.
An additional, £1.50 is taken as a non-refundable booking fee. The accommodation booking service is available up to half an hour before closing.
Bookings taken over the telephone, always by credit card, are charged a £ 2.00 non-refundable booking fee in addition to the 10% deposit. It is occasionally necessary to withdraw this facility, during the shrewsbury Flower Show, when phone lines are so busy and available accommodation is extremely limited.
