St. Chads Shrewsbury

St Chads Church has a revolutionary design from George Steuart who also designed the nearby Attingham Park.

The church was consecrated in 1792 and it is also the church in which Charles Darwin was christened here in 1809.

The churchyard also has the grave of Ebanezer Scrooge. It's not a real grave of course, it was a prop left over from the filming of 'A Christmas Carol'.
