Sponsorship Coup For Shropshire's New Cookery School

Brompton Cookery School near Shrewsbury, due to launch September 2009.
A new cookery school, set to open on the National Trust's Attingham Estate, near Shrewsbury, has landed multiple sponsorship deals from some of Britain's most prestigious brands ahead of its launch in September 2009.
AGA Rangemaster, Kenwood, Fired Earth and Bang & Olufsen are just some of the companies eager to get behind Brompton Cookery School, the first of its kind in the county or to be located on a National Trust Estate.
Comprising a state-of-the-art professional kitchen with a 16 head capacity, an elegant dining room seating 24 people and a well stocked pantry featuring supplies from the Attingham Estate and local producers including Wenlock Edge Farm, Shropshire Cheese
Company, Tanners Wine Merchants and Great Ness Oils, Brompton is designed to encourage food lovers and amateur cooks of all ages and abilities to expand their repertoire and learn new skills from some of the best chefs in the UK.
Philippa Home, who already runs deluxe Bed & Breakfast Brompton Farmhouse, outside the village of Atcham, is the brains behind the new venture, currently being built in a series of converted barns on the rolling Shropshire estate.
Although she has secured significant financial backing from the National Trust and grant funding from the Rural Enterprise Scheme and Business Link, the remainder of the £250,000 setting up costs falls to her so she devised an innovative sponsorship scheme, inviting prestigious brands to partner the school in return for marketing and PR opportunities. As she explains, "I come from an advertising agency background and once the concept for Brompton had been formulated I quickly realised its potential. There is nothing like it in the local area and the calibre of people we have involved in the project, such as Chris Barber who was Chef to HRH the Prince of Wales for 11 years and is an award winning restaurateur, gives Brompton solid business credentials. The response from my first round of sponsorship enquiries was so enthusiastic I didn't need to look any further and I couldn't be happier that names like David Orton Interiors and De Longhi will now be associated with the success of Brompton Cookery School".
Brompton Cookery School is already accepting bookings for its mouthwatering selection of half day, full day and evening courses through the newly launched website www.bromptoncookeryschool.co.uk or telephone 01743 761629.
